Port Klang is home to two GE facilities. Our aero facility features unique repair capabilities, including level 2 for an entire aeroderivative engine, and level 4 for hot section/turbines. Normally, an overhaul will be sent to Houston but now can be managed in-region, creating faster turnaround and more cost efficiencies. With a strong LM2500 installed base in Indonesia and Malaysia, it’s vital that the region have a first port of call for working aero cases, as well as planned and unplanned outages.
The L1 FieldCore tooling center features capabilities for both 7HA and 9HA, including combustion installation tools. Currently, it’s the key HA tooling center in the region.
