Amber holds dual roles as the Chief Compliance Officer and Global Head of Labor & Employment (“L&E”). As the Company’s CCO, Amber is responsible for developing and implementing a Corporate governance model that ensures appropriate processes and procedures are in place to maintain and strengthen GE’s integrity culture across all of the Company’s businesses and worldwide operations. In her L&E role, Amber is responsible for directing the Company’s labor and employment function, which involves ensuring the Company is in compliance with all global employment laws, overseeing the Company’s employment litigation, complying with GE’s obligations toward all employee representative bodies, and managing employment-related ombuds cases/investigations. Amber previously served as the Deputy General Counsel and Global Head of Labor & Employment for GE Capital, which involved managing the L&E, Ombuds, Privacy and Legal Operations functions for Capital.
Prior to joining GE, Amber spent 21 years with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where she was a partner and leader of the New York Labor and Employment Practice Group. In addition, Amber was a member of the Morgan Lewis New York Office Management Committee, which was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Firm’s 500-person New York office, and served on the Legal Personnel Committee, which addressed firm-wide strategic issues.
Amber received her JD, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her BA in Psychology, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is admitted to the New York State Bar and is House Counsel in Massachusetts. Amber and her family reside in Boston, Massachusetts.
