7.3. SPC Defect Category: Add a Category

About this task

Within a defect folder, you can create one or more defect categories that define the defect characteristics.

Note: A bar on the Pareto chart represents each defect category.

Procedure

Select a defect folder in the SPC Configuration window left-pane.

Do one of the following.


A	Click File>New>Defect Category on the SPC Configuration window menu bar.
B	Right-click the selected product; select New Defect Category on the Popup menu.
C	Press Ctrl+N on the keyboard.

Results

A Defect Properties dialog box opens.
