3.6. Export to a CSV File

About this task

You can, export the contents of a cor_recstat.cl2 log to a CSV format.

Note: If you applied a Filter to the Status Log display, only the displayed messages will be exported.

Procedure

  1. Click Log>Export to CSV File on the CIMPLICITY Log Viewer menu bar.

    The Save As dialog box opens.

  2. Select the folder to which the file will be exported.
  3. Enter a name in the File name field.

    Default: SYSTEM.CSV.

  4. Click OK.

    Result:: The CSV file, which can be opened in Excel, displays the following.

    A First line in the file shows the computer name and the full path name for the Status Log file.
    B Other lines display  messages that were listed in the CIMPLICITY Log Viewer window when the file was exported. Note: If you applied a Filter to the Status Log display, only the displayed messages were saved to the text file.
    C Pipes (|)separate information  to emulate column breaks.
