Configuring the Fuzzy Logic block

Note : The file format for the fuzzy logic block must be *.fis

To open the block property page (the page on which the block configuration is specified), either double-click on the block or right-click on the block and select Block Properties.

On the fuzzy logic block property pages, there are three steps to complete:

File– Load fuzzy model file.

Inputs– Map blueprint fields to the related inputs of the fuzzy model.

Outputs– Map fuzzy model outputs to the related fields for the blueprint.

The fuzzy logic model file is selected in the FIS File name text box by either typing the file location and name or by using the browse button. When file has been loaded successfully the File status will indicate Loaded. The file is automatically loaded when changing to another page or pressing Apply.
Inputs

The input fields from the blueprint have to be mapped to the relevant fields of the fuzzy model. The Inputs tab of the property page lists the input fields from the blueprint in the Field Name list box to which the fuzzy model input fields, from the Input Variables list box, needs to be mapped. If the field names are similar the left double arrow button can be used to automatically match the fields, alternatively select the field in the Field Name box and matching field in the Input Variables box then press the left arrow button to match the fields.

The output variables from the fuzzy model are displayed in the Variable Name list box. There are different ways in which the fields can be created for the blueprint, i.e. using

The Defaults button the created field names, in the Field Names list box, will be the same as the fuzzy model field names, or
-
Selecting the empty text box in the Field Names list box a unique field name can be entered by the user.
Outputs

Outputs property page buttons:

Defaults: Generate output field names corresponding to the output fuzzy variable names.

Clear all: Delete all the output fields

Clear selected: Delete the selected output fields

Select all: Select all the fields

In the Fuzzy logic property page click on Apply to save changes, close the fuzzy logic property page by clicking on OK, then save your blueprint.

Select the fuzzy output variable that will be assigned to the output field.

Click in the Field Name column or press F2.

Type the new field name.
NOTE: Output fields must have unique names
