Configuring the OPC Classic Server Source block

Configuring the OPC Classic server sink is as easy as specifying the group name and selecting the input fields that must be made available as OPC Classic items.

Configuring the OPC Classic Server Source block

  • The group name is entered in the Group name edit box. The block will not allow the blueprint to run if the name is empty or if the name conflicts with another OPC Classic Group name in the blueprint.

  • Execute period minimum value = 1s

  • The execute mode is selected using the radio buttons in the Execution group.

  • The timestamp mode is select using the radio buttons in the Timestamps group. This option is not available then the execute mode is Execute Once.

  • The fields that will appear as OPC Classic items are listed in the list. The field name and its data type are shown.

  • To add a new field, enter the name in the Field Name edit box, select the desired data type from the Field Type drop-down list and click on

  • To delete fields, select the fields and click on

  • To delete all the fields, click on

  • To export the list of fields to a text file, click on the

  • To import the list of fields from a text file, click on the The text file must have one field and its data type per line. The field name and data type may be separated by either a tab or a comma.

  • Blueprint execution rates are determined by the individual source blocks contained in a blueprint and their respective configuration options. To configure the timestamp for the first execution of the blueprint, you can use the First execute configuration options available on most source blocks.
