Configuring the Quality Encoder block

To configure the Quality Encoder block

  1. Open the block property page (the page on which the block configuration is specified) by either double-clicking on the block or right-clicking on the block and selecting Block Properties.

  2. The block automatically creates an output field for each input field, with the same name as the corresponding input field. The data type of the input/output field is shown in the Data types list.

  3. Specify the value to assign to output fields corresponding to bad quality input fields:

    • To specify the value to assign to a specific output field if the input field is of bad quality, single click twice on the output field name in the Quality encoder Values box (or select the particular output field and press F2) and then type the appropriate value.

    • To apply the same value to all output fields corresponding to input fields of bad quality, type the appropriate value in the Bad Quality Value box and then click on Apply to all.

  4. Optionally, specify that the qualities of all the output fields be set to Good by checking the Set all qualities to good box. If this box is not checked, the output field has the same quality as the input field.
