Configuring the Quality block
-
To open the block property page (the page on which the block configuration is specified), either double-click on the block or right-click on the block and select Block Properties.
-
The block automatically generates output fields with the same names as the input fields on the Value port. To change an output field name: select the output field on the Output field list-box on the left (in the Output Port Setup pane), click on the field again or press F2 then type a new field name. Output field names must be unique.
-
Set up field associations as follows:
-
To associate two individual fields, click on the appropriate field in the Output field list, then double-click on the field with which it should be associated in the Quality Port pane (in the Quality Field list). Alternatively, click on the appropriate field in the Output field list, then single-click on the field with which it should be associated in the Quality Port pane (in the Quality Field list) and then click on the < button.
-
To break a particular field association, select the output field and click the > button.
-
To associate value and quality fields automatically, click on the << button.
-
To break all field associations, click on the >> button.
-
-
In the Use of Quality Input pane, select the way in which you want the Quality field input to be treated. You can select either of the following:
-
Use Quality of Fields - If you select this option then the output quality is set to the worst of:
-
The quality of the field on the Quality input port.
The quality of the field on the Value input port
-
-
-
Use Values of Fields - If you select this option then the output quality is set to the worst of:
-
The quality of the field on the Value input port
-
The quality of the field on the Quality input port.
-
The quality that results from the comparison between the value field on the Quality input port and the Value for Good Quality which you set (below).
-
-
If you have selected to Use Values of Fields, then you need to enter a Value for Good Quality in the Use of Quality Input pane. This specifies what value on the Quality field designates good quality. Quality field values are then matched against the value you enter here.
The examples given on the main Quality block help page will assist you in understanding how the quality assigned to output fields is affected by both the block input and your configuration of this block. -
