Configuring the Time Delay block

The configuration of this block involves the selection of the field that will control the delay.

To configure the Time Delay block

  1. To open the block property page (the page on which the block configuration is specified), either double click on the block or right-click on the block and select Block Properties.  

  1. The Input field names column (on the left-hand side) lists all the fields in the input port whilst the Output field names column (on the right-hand side) shows the output field names.

  2. The name of the output field is, by default, the same as the input field.  To change the output field name click on the field name in the Output field names column and type the new name in its place.

  3. To append a postfix to the output field name, type the desired postfix in the Postfix box and click on Apply to all.

  4. To remove the last postfix to be appended to the output field names, type the name of the postfix in the Postfix box and click on Remove from all.

  1. The time delay field enters the bottom input port on the time delay block, if this port contains more than one field the field that should be used must be specified in the Time delay field drop-down box.

  2. Specify the maximum time delay in the Maximum time delay box.  If the Maximum time delay is specified as 60s and the data is sampled at, say, 15s intervals, the block will keep a history of 4 values.
