The tree view on the left shows the hierarchical OPC Classic name space for the server.

The list on the right shows the available items for the selected node in the tree.

The Data type filter instructs the OPC Classic server to apply filtering to the results shown in the item list.

The controls in the Default field creation/lookup group are used to automatically construct the output field name.

adds the OPC Classic item selected in the items list using the field name specified by the controls in the Default field creation/lookup group in the OPC Classic Client Source block, and associates the selected OPC Classic item with an Architect field in the OPC Classic Client Sink block. The Architect field depends on the state of the Use item name check box -
refreshes the tree and the list from the OPC Classic server
Automatic field name construction

When the Use item name check box is checked, the item name will be used as the field name.

When the Use item name check box is not checked:
-
The field names will be numbers surrounded with the Prefix string and Postfix string.

The data type of the field is determined by the selection in the Data Type drop down list.
