PurposeOpens a digital block (sets the value equal to 0). The block reflects the new value based on its own scan period. You can also open SIM registers. SIM registers range from 0 to 2000. Bit values range from 0 to 15. SyntaxOPEN block OPEN register:bit NOTE: When using the OPEN command to set a Digital Input block, the Digital Input block must be in Manual mode before it can be set. If you attempt to set a Digital Input block that is in Automatic mode with an OPEN command, iFIX generates an error message and takes the Program block off scan.
