PurposeWorks in conjunction with iFIX sound support to play sound files you create with Microsoft-supported sound software. SyntaxPLAYSOUND sound file Parameterssound file – specifies the name of the sound file you want to play. Sound files should have an extension of .WAV and are created using Microsoft-supported sound software. The PLAYSOUND command looks in Picture path for sound files. However, you also can define the location of the sound files along with the sound file name. For example: PLAYSOUND C:\SOUNDS\WARNING.WAV
