The data transferred between TM and the datalogger generally consists of TML data associated with a specific TM Asset Analysis. A possible use of a datalogger might be:
- First, a technician would send the desired TML to the datalogger.
- After the technician has collected the thickness measurement data for the TMLs on the datalogger, she or he can collect and load the data into memory in TM, where it can be reviewed prior to it being saved to the database.
- When the data is saved to the database, the appropriate analysis calculations are performed, and the associated TM rules are executed.
When transferring data between a TM Asset and a datalogger, be sure to confirm the device settings. Errors can be mitigated by double-checking the device type and device action associated with an analysis.
