Production Event Template Records

Production Event Template records store general event information that can be used to create more specific Production Events. This topic provides an alphabetical list and description of the fields that exist for the Production Event Template family and appear on the Production Event Template datasheet. The information in the table reflects the baseline state and behavior of these fields.

Field	Data Type	Description	Behavior and Usage
Abnormal State	Character	A name that represents an abnormal state of operation.	This value in OPC Reading records (that are linked to the OPC Tag identified in the OPC Tag ID field) should trigger a Production Event to be created automatically from this Production Event Template. This is a required field.
Causing Asset	Character	The piece of equipment that caused the events that will be created automatically from this template.	This field contains a button, which you can use to select the Equipment that represents the piece of equipment that caused the events that will be created automatically from this template. When you save the Production Event Template, it will be linked automatically to the selected Equipment.
Comment	Text	Additional comments about the events that will be created automatically from this template.	You can define this field manually.
Description	Text	A detailed description of the events that will be created automatically from this template.	You can define this field manually.
Event Template ID	Character	The ID of the event template.	This field is populated automatically with a value that appears in the following format: <Source Unit>~<Production Event Code>~<Start Date>~<Headline> ...where: <Source Unit> is the value in the Source Unit field in this Production Event Template. <Production Event Code> is the value in the Production Event Code field in this Production Event Template. <Start Date> is the value in the Start Date field in this Production Event Template. <Headline> is the value in the Headline field in this Production Event Template. This field does not appear on the datasheet.
Headline	Character	A short description of the events that will be created automatically from this template.	You can define this field manually.
Normal State	Character	A name that represents a normal state of operation.	This value in OPC Reading records (that are linked to the OPC Tag identified in the OPC Tag ID field) should trigger a Production Event to be updated automatically from this Production Event Template. This is a required field.
OPC Tag ID	Character	A reference to the OPC Tag representing the tag whose readings will be used to create Production Event records automatically from this Production Event Template.	This field contains a button, which you can use to the selected OPC Tag. This is a required field.
Other Event Costs	Number	Costs that are associated with the events that will be created automatically from this template and are not recorded in the selected Work History.	The value is preceded by a currency symbol, which is set by default to $. You can change the Currency symbol.
Production Event Code	Character	The type of production events that will be created automatically from this template.	This field contains a button, which you can use to select the Production Event Code that most accurately represents the type of events that will be created automatically from this template. After you select the appropriate and select OK, the full path to the selected the Production Event Code is displayed on the datasheet, including all categories into which that Production Event Code is grouped. When you save the Production Event Template, it will be linked automatically to the selected Production Event Code. After the two are linked, if you change the value in the Code field in the Production Event Code record, the value in the Production Event Code field in the Production Event Template will be updated automatically to reflect the change.
Source Production Unit	Character	The production unit in which the events that will be created automatically from this template occurred.	This field contains a list, which displays the IDs of all Production Units. When you save the Production Event Template, it will be linked automatically to the selected Production Unit. After the two records are linked, if you change the value in the Production Unit Name field in the Production Unit, the value in the Source Production Unit field in the Production Event Template will be updated automatically to reflect the change.
Work History	Character	A reference to the Work History records that are related to the Production Event Template.	Lets you select the Work History records that contain more information about work that is related to the events that will be created automatically from this template. When you save the Production Event Template, it will be linked automatically to the selected Work History.
