This topic describes the two ways in which it is possible to add a Reference Document to a record:
By creating a new Reference Document record. When you do this, you can either upload the file internally to the GE Digital APM database or you can link to a file that exists on an external shared network.
By linking a record to an existing Reference Document record.
In the Description field, enter a brief description.
In the Document Path field, select .
The Edit Document Path window appears.
Select Upload a Local File to store the internal reference document in the GE Digital APM database, and then select Browse and select a file to upload.
Select Save.
The document path is added to the datasheet.
Note: For internal reference documents, the Document Path field will contain the file name. For external reference documents, the Document Path field will contain a hyperlink to the document.
