Creating Central-Level Specification Variables

The specification variable is the variable or quality test variable that is represented on a central or facility-wide basis. For example, the specification variables associated with the basis weight property could be BW, tear, tensile, burst, and so on.

To manage central specification variables: In the Plant Applications Server Manager tree, expand Product Management, expand Product Properties, and expand a specific product property.

To add a new specification variable

1. Right-click on Specification Variables and click Add New Specification. An new entry text field appears.

2. Type the name of the specification and press ENTER.
