Configuring the Field Splitter block

To configure a particular output port

To open the Field splitter block property page (the page on which the block configuration is specified), either double click on the block or right-click on the block and select Block Properties.

Use the Output port drop-down box to select the port to be configured.
The list of available fields will be displayed in the Available fields pane (on the left-hand side of the property page) and may be selected UNLESS the selected output port is the default port.
The default port cannot be configured as it automatically takes all the unselected (i.e. available) fields. The default port cannot be renamed or deleted. The default port may be selected from the Use output port for all unselected fields drop-down box.
A port is configured, by selecting the fields that it will take. To select fields, either double-click on the field name in the Available Fields pane or select the field and then click on >.
To move all the fields in the Available Fields pane to the Selected output port fields pane, click on >>.
To remove all the fields from the Selected output port fields pane to the Available Fields pane, click on <<.

To add additional output ports, click on the Add Ports command button
To rename a selected output port, click on the Rename an output port command button
To delete a selected output port, click on the Delete an output port command button.
