In Calibration Management, templates are stored at the following locations:
- Template Library: Contains a list of all the calibration templates that you have created. Templates in the library are not linked to an asset.
- Applied Templates: Contains a list of all the templates that are linked to assets. When you select a template from the library and apply it to an asset, the Meridium Enterprise APM system creates a copy of that template. This copy is stored in the list of applied templates, and is linked to the specified asset.
For example, assume that you have created three templates: Template 1, Template 2, and Template 3. These templates are stored in the library.
Suppose you want to link:
- Template 1 to Asset 1 and Asset 2
- Template 2 to Asset 2
The Meridium Enterprise APM system creates a copy of these templates: Copy 1 of Template 1, Copy 2 of Template 1, and Copy of Template 2. These are stored in applied templates, as shown in the following image:
If you modify Copy 1 of Template 1, the changes are not reflected in Template 1.
Similarly, if you modify Template 1, the changes are not reflected in Copy 1 of Template 1 or Copy 2 of Template 1.
If you want the changes made in Template 1 applied to Copy 1 of Template 1, you must re-apply Template 1 to the copy.
