Create a Root Cause Analysis

This topic describes how to create a Root Cause Analysis from the RCA Overview page. You can also copy an analysis or create an analysis using the RCA Templates.

Before You Begin

• Define when a Root Cause Analysis should be performed.

Steps

1. Access the RCA Overview page.

   Hint: You can also access the RCA Overview page for a particular Asset Hierarchy Level.

2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select New Analysis.

   A blank datasheet appears in the Analysis Summary workspace.

   

3. As needed, enter values in the available fields.

4. Select .

   The Root Cause Analysis is saved.

What's Next?

• Link the Root Cause Analysis to the required asset.
