About the Production Loss Analysis (PLA) Data Loader

The Production Loss Analysis (PLA) Data Loader allows you to implement PLA when your production data exists in a legacy system. The Production Loss Analysis (PLA) Data Loader uses an Excel workbook, Production Loss Analysis (PLA).xlsx, as the source of data to be loaded into Meridium Enterprise APM. You must export your Production Data from your legacy system so that the data can be used to populate the data loader workbook. The data from the Excel workbook will then be imported into Meridium Enterprise APM using the Production Loss Analysis (PLA) Data Loader.

Note: The Excel workbook is referred to throughout this documentation as the data loader workbook.

The Production Loss Analysis (PLA) Data Loader can be used in the following scenarios:

Loading a new user’s existing legacy Production Data into Meridium Enterprise APM so that you can retain insight into previous performance and compare it to current and future performance.
Enabling Functional Testing to validate mathematical accuracy, and solution readiness for use. The Functional Testing will be enabled by importing known data elements into the solution.
Enabling training for a specific training course. Training will be enabled by importing known data elements into the solution for the specific training course.

After importing the data into Meridium Enterprise APM, you will be able to access Production Plans, view Production Data that is associated with the Production Plan, and view unaccounted losses and accounted losses that are associated with the production data details.

The data imported by the data loader allows you to maintain visibility and continuity in production reliability. The Production Loss Analysis (PLA) Data Loader creates the following records in Meridium Enterprise APM:

Production Plans
Production Data
Losses Data
Products
Production Units

This data can be either forward facing (i.e., Production Plans that have production dates in the future) or backward facing (i.e., Production Plans in which production took place in the past).
