Departments
By default, Plant Applications automatically creates a department, named Department, because you must have at least one department in order to define your plant model. If you want to, you can rename Department so that it more accurately describes your plant model.
NOTE: You must have at least Manager access to the Administrator security group to rename a department.
If you select Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as the default time zone (see the topic, Default Time Zone for more information), you will be able to assign a time zone and define your production day for each department in your plant model.
IMPORTANT: If you select UTC, you must Proficy DataMart for your reporting solution. The Plant Applications Web Reporting is not supported. To contact a sales representative, please see https://digitalsupport.ge.com/.
