Variable Groups

Variable groups are the assembly of similar variables. Grouping variables allows for reporting to be done on a Variable group. Variable groups can not be moved from one production unit to another. In earlier version of the software, Variable groups were known as Production groups. You must have at least one Variable Group in order to create variables.

Variable groups are identified by the Variable Group icon .

To create a variable group:

1. To add a variable group to your production unit, right-click on the production unit and select Add New Group to <production unit> from the pop-up menu.

2. Type the name of your variable group and press Enter.

3. Repeat these steps to add additional variable groups.

Variable Group names must be unique within a Production Unit.
