Apply a Template to an Asset

This topic describes how to apply a template that is stored in the library to an Asset. When you apply a template to an Asset, the Meridium Enterprise APM system:

Creates a copy of the template (one copy for each Asset)
Stores the copy in the list of applied templates
Links the copy to the Asset

Note: The original template (stored in the library) is not linked to the Asset. Only the copy of the template is linked to the Asset.

Steps

Access the Calibration Management Overview page.

Hint: You can also access the Calibration Management Overview page for a hierarchy level.
In the workspace, select the Template Library tab.

The Template Library section appears, displaying a list of Calibration Templates.
Select the check box that corresponds to the template that you want to apply.

Hint: You can also filter and search for the Calibration Template by selecting in the upper-right corner of the workspace. The search results appear as you enter values.
In the upper-right corner of the workspace, select Apply Template.

The Search window appears.
In the upper-right corner of the window, select .

A list of Assets appears.
Select the Assets to which you want to apply the template, and then select OK.

The template is applied to the selected Assets.

Results

The Meridium Enterprise APM system:
- Creates a copy of the template for each Asset that you selected.
- Stores the copies in the list of applied templates.
- Links each copy to each Asset.
