Create a Failure Effect

Steps

  1. Access the RCM Module Overview page.
  2. Select the analysis containing the Functional Failure for which you want to create a Failure Effect.

    In a new tab, the Analysis Details (Analysis Details) workspace for the selected analysis appears, displaying the Analysis Overview (Analysis Overview) section.

  3. In the left pane, select the function that contains the Functional Failure for which you want to create a Failure Effect.

    In the left pane, the Functional Failures for the selected function appear.

  4. In the left pane, select the Functional Failure for which you want to create a Failure Effect.

    In the left pane, the Failure Modes for the selected Functional Failure appear.

  5. In the left pane, select the Failure Mode for which you want to create a Failure Effect.

    The workspace for the selected Failure Mode appears, displaying the Failure Modes (Failure Modes) section.

  6. In the workspace, select the Failure Effects (Failure Effects) tab.

    The Failure Effects (Failure Effects) section appears.

  7. In the upper-right corner of the Failure Effects (Failure Effects) section, select .

  8. As needed, enter values in the available fields.
  9. Select .

    The Failure Effect is saved.
