Delete a Failure Effect

Steps

  1. Access the RCM Module Overview page.

  2. Select the analysis containing the Function whose Failure Effect you want to delete.

    In a new tab, the Analysis Details (Analysis Details) workspace for the selected analysis appears, displaying the Analysis Overview (Analysis Overview) section.

  3. In the left pane, select the function that contains the Functional Failure whose Failure Effect you want to delete.

    In the left pane, the Functional Failures for the selected function appear.

  4. In the left pane, select the Functional Failure whose Failure Effect you want to delete.

    In the left pane, the Failure Modes for the selected Functional Failure appear.

  5. In the left pane, select the Failure Mode whose Failure Effect you want to delete.

    The workspace for the selected Failure Mode appears, displaying the Failure Modes (Failure Modes) section.

  6. In the workspace, select the Failure Effect tab.

    The Failure Effect section appears.

  7. In the upper-left corner of the section, in the drop-down list, select the Failure Effect that you want to delete.

    The failure effect appears.

  8. Select .

    A message appears, asking you to confirm that you want to delete your failure effect.

  9. Select Yes (Yes).

    Your Failure Effect is deleted.
