Link or Unlink a Potential Degradation Mechanism (PDM) to an RBI Component
IMPORTANT: To distinguish PRD Components from RBI Components in a Corrosion Loop, PRD Components have the icon before the Component ID. All PRD Components function in the same way as RBI Components. However, RBI Components are terminal while PRD Components must have child components.
The RBI Pipeline Segment component functions in the same way as RBI Components. It is only visible if the Pipeline Management license is active.
Steps
Access the RBI Component to which you want to link or unlink a Potential Degradation Mechanism (PDM).
Select the Potential Degradation Mechanisms tab.
The Potential Degradation Mechanisms section appears, displaying a list of PDMs linked to the RBI Component.
In the Degradation Mechanisms section, select Add PDM.
A list of PDMs appears.
Next to the PDMs that you want to link to the RBI Component, select the check boxes.
Select OK.
One or more selected PDMs are linked to the RBI Component.
