Failure Mode nodes that are connected to Hypothesis nodes.
Hypothesis nodes that are connected to other Hypothesis nodes.
Logic Gate nodes that are connected to other Logic Gates or Hypothesis nodes.
You cannot add a Logic Gate node to the Failure Event node (i.e., between Failure Mode nodes). A given predecessor node can have only one Logic Gate node.
In the upper portion of the workspace, in the Palette section, select or , and then use the drag-and-drop method to add the Logic Gate in the design canvas to a node.
Select the Logic Gate that you added, and then select .
The Properties window appears, displaying the datasheet for the selected Logic Gate.
Enter the values in the following fields:
Short Description: Describes the connection that the Logic Gate node defines.
Long Description: Describes the logical statement that the Logic Gate node defines.
Gate Type: Defines the type of logic gate: AND or OR. The default value for this field is OR.
Select .
The Logic Gate is added to the Logic Tree.
