About the CPI Adapter

The CPI Adapter for APM Connect enables secure, cloud-based integration between APM Connect and SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems using SAP Cloud Process Integrator (CPI). This adapter communicates with standardized integration workflows, allowing APM Connect to request and receive ETL data from SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems.

The adapter uses prebuilt integration packages available on the SAP Business Accelerator Hub. You can deploy these packages in your CPI tenant and communicate with SAP via a cloud connector, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.

You can access the APM Connect integration package from the SAP Business Accelerator Hub. The package contains the following artifacts:

Install CPI Adapter from the SAP Marketplace

About This Task

To install the APM Connect integration package using the SAP Integration Suite, follow these steps:

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the SAP Integration Suite using your SAP credentials.
  2. Navigate to Discover > Integrations.
  3. Search for Asset Performance Management (APM) Connect Integration with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC
  4. Open the package and select Copy to Integration Suite to import the integration flows into your CPI tenant.
    The package appears in the Design tab.

Install CPI Adapter using Offline ZIP file

About This Task

To install the APM Connect integration package offline, use the SAP Business Accelerator Hub to download the ZIP file.

Procedure

  1. Go to the SAP Business Accelerator Hub - APM Connect Integration Package.
  2. Log in using your SAP credentials.
  3. Locate the Download option for the integration package (ZIP format).
  4. Save the ZIP file to your local system.
  5. Open the SAP Integration Suite and go to the Design tab.
  6. Select Import and select the downloaded ZIP file.
    The package will appear in the Design tab after import.

Configure Externalized Parameters in the Integration Flow

About This Task

When you import the APM Connect integration package into your SAP Integration Suite, the integration flows come with externalized parameters. These parameters are placeholders for environment-specific values, such as endpoint addresses, RFC destinations, and logging preferences that must be configured before deployment.

Procedure

  1. Open the SAP Integration Suite and go to the Design tab.
  2. Select Integration & API.
  3. Select your package and open the integration flow.
  4. Locate the Externalized Parameters section.
  5. Update the following values as needed:
