Copy a Preserve Record

This topic describes how to copy a Preserve Record. You can also create a new Preserve Record.

Steps

1. Access the Root Cause Analysis for which you want to create a Preserve Record.

2. In the left pane, select the Preserve Records tab.

   The Preserve Records workspace appears, displaying the list of Preserve Records that are associated with the selected RCA.

   

3. In the upper-left corner, select .

   The All Preserve Records window appears, displaying the list of Preserve Records that are available for all the Root Cause Analyses in the database.

   

4. Select the check box to the left of the Preserve Record that you want to copy.

   Tip: You can select one or more Preserve Records.

5. Select Done.

   The All Preserve Records window closes.

   The Preserve Records workspace appears, displaying the copied Preserve Record in the list of Preserve Records.

Results

• The Preserve Record is saved to the database and linked to the selected RCA.
• The copied Record does not contain any value in the Assigned To, Date Due, and Date Completed fields.
