Create a Preserve Record

This topic describes how to create a new Preserve Record. You can also copy a Preserve Record.

You can create multiple Preserve Records for one Root Cause analysis using different data categories. You can use the 5 P's in the Data Category list to categorize the type of data that should be collected.

Steps

  1. Access the Root Cause Analysis for which you want to create an Preserve Record.
  2. In the left pane, select the Preserve Records tab.

    The Preserve Records workspace appears, displaying a list of Preserve Records that are associated with the selected RCA.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the workspace, select .

    The New Preserve Record window appears in the workspace.

  4. In the Assigned to list, enter or select the team member to whom you want to assign the Preserve Records.

  5. As needed, enter the details in the available fields.

  6. Select .

    The Preserve Record is saved.
