Delete an RCA or an RCA Template

When you delete an RCA or RCA Template, the record is deleted along with all the records that are linked to the Root Cause Analysis except for the:

RCA Recommendations.

Note: When you delete an Root Cause analysis that has RCA Recommendations associated with it, a message will appear, providing you with an option to delete the associated RCA Recommendations.
RCA Template based on Reliability Center Incorporated (RCI) Intellectual Property.

Note: Super User or a member of the MI PROACT Administrator Security Group can not modify or delete the RCA Template based on Reliability Center Incorporated (RCI) Intellectual Property.

Steps

Access the RCA Overview page.

Hint: You can also access the RCA Overview page for a particular Asset Hierarchy Level.
Select one of the following tabs:
- In Progress: Select this tab if you want to view an RCA in In Progress state.
- Published: Select this tab if you want to view an RCA in Published state.
- Template: Select this tab if you want to view an RCA in Template state.
A list of available analyses appears based on the tab that you selected.
Select the row that contains the Root Cause Analysis that you want to delete.
In the upper-right corner of the section, select .

The Delete Analysis dialog box appears, asking you to confirm that you want to delete the selected analysis.
Select Yes.

The selected Root Cause Analysis is deleted.
