About Hierarchy

You can navigate through the content available in the ACL application using either of the following hierarchies:

Industry (industry-based)
Assets and Components (package-based)

By default, the industry-based hierarchy is selected.

Industry Hierarchy

This hierarchical structure includes industries, fuels, assets, systems, subsystems, and components.

Each content item is mapped to an element in the hierarchy. You can choose multiple hierarchies to explore available content or search for specific elements.

Assets and Components Hierarchy

This hierarchical structure lists all Strategy, Health and Reliability, and RCA packages for quick access.

Access Industry Hierarchy

About This Task

To load content for a specific hierarchy in Industry hierarchy, complete the following steps:

Log in to the ACL application.
Select and then select the Industry tab.
Clear all checkboxes in the hierarchy.
Select the checkbox for the hierarchy for which you want to view the content.
Select the Apply button. The content specific to the selected hierarchy appears.

Example

For example, to view content for Gas Turbine asset, clear the industry checkbox, then select the asset, and select the Apply button.

For other industries, directly select any hierarchy level checkbox. The data related to the selected industry is loaded in the right pane of the page.

Access Assets and Components Hierarchy

About This Task

To access the Assets and Components hierarchy, complete the following steps:

Procedure

Log in to the ACL application.
Select and then select the Assets and Components tab.

Switch Hierarchy

About This Task

By default, the Industry hierarchy is displayed, with the industry set to Power Generation. To switch to the Assets and Components hierarchy, complete the following steps:

Procedure

Log in to the ACL application.
Select and then select the Assets and Components tab. By default, the Health and Reliability tab opens.
Select any package mentioned in the Asset and Component list and the respective details are loaded.

Search Hierarchy

You can search for any hierarchy level by typing a keyword in the Search text box. The results show values containing the keyword along with their hierarchy.

To remove the search, delete the keyword from the search box, and the default list appears. When you select the Reset button, the default selection (Power Generation) is selected and related content is displayed.
