Common Tasks in ACL Application

After you select hierarchy, the content is displayed in the right pane. The right pane is a grid like structure that provides detailed information for the selected package/asset.

This section describes the common tasks that you can perform on this content.

Search for Content

About This Task

You can filter individual columns using keywords.

Procedure

  1. To search on individual columns, select the icon.
    A text box appears.
  2. Enter a keyword in the text box to filter the results.
    The grid displays rows containing the keyword. If no matching data is found, a No Data message is displayed.
  3. Hover to the left of the Filter box to see the advanced filtering options.

    By default, the filter uses the Contains option.
    • Contains: Returns rows that contain the keyword.
    • Does not Contain: Returns rows that do not contain the keyword.
    • Starts with: Returns rows that start with the keyword.
    • Ends with: Returns rows that end with the keyword.
    • Equal: Returns rows that exactly match the keyword.
    • Is not equal: Returns rows that do not exactly match the keyword.
    • Reset: Resets the selected filter option.

Example

If you select the Starts with option and search for “Fuel”, it returns all the rows starting with “Fuel”.

Apply Column Filter

About This Task

You can filter the results based on the selection of data in each column.
To filter the contents, select icon. You can select individual or multiple contents by selecting the checkbox and then selecting the OK button.

Results

After making your selection, the result grid displays the filtered content.

Display Required Columns

About This Task

You can determine which columns are shown in the result grid using the Column Chooser.

Procedure

  1. Select the icon to select or deselect the column shown in the result grid. The Content Name column is a mandatory column and cannot be deselected. A list of column names will appear.
    The following columns are available in the Column Chooser:
    Column NameDescription
    Content NameContains the content name provided by the respective team.
    VersionThe current version of the content.
    Assets and ComponentsAsset and components of each content.
    IndustryThe industry the content is mapped to.
    TypeContent type, such as analytics, strategies, policies, workflows, or RCA.
    Download FormatIndicates whether the package is available as a package or a template download.
    ProviderThe owner of the content.
    ComplexityThe complexity of each content.
  2. To select a column, select the checkbox next to it, and to deselect, clear the selected checkbox again.
  3. Select the icon to close the Column Chooser.

    For example, after deselecting the Version column, the result is updated accordingly.

Set Pagination

You can select the number of rows displayed per page by clicking on the numbering on the left side of the grid, as highlighted in the following image. By default, 20 analytics are shown per page.

To navigate to different pages, select the page number or navigate using the icons.

The total number of analytics for the current selection is also displayed.

Apply Content Filter

About This Task

If you have download access and are assigned to multiple customers, you can filter the contents according to the entitlement of each customer across tabs.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the ACL application.
  2. Select icon
    A dropdown appears where you can select your customer.

  3. Select Customer and then select your customer.
    The results in the tab are updated to show the packages purchased by the customer. The filter is greyed out, indicating that a customer has been selected.

Results

To return to the default page, select Clear All option.

If no customers are assigned to you, the filter displays a No Customer Available message.
