About Importing Tools

You can leverage the ERP Import service to import tools from your Calibration Management systems. When a tool is imported, it is automatically published into Plant Applications, making it readily available for use. It is important to note that imported tools cannot be modified directly from the Web Admin interface. To update imported tools, you can utilize the ERP Import service. Whenever a tool is updated, a new version is automatically created, ensuring the accuracy, and tracking of tool changes. In addition to importing tools, you also have the flexibility to manually create, edit, modify, and publish tools.

When tool information is imported, a tool category or a sub-category is created. The tool is associated to the tool category.
