The following known issues and limitations exist.

DE185477 Web Admin Plant Applications Web Admin does not support 'Object Types' and 'Historians'' for Plant Applications 2023 release. To remove their roles, do the following:
  1. Go to Security Management application.
  2. Navigate to the Roles page, then click Edit for any role.
  3. Navigate to the Web Administrator tab, then clear the check boxes for Administer Object Types and Administer Historians.
    Note:
    Even if you assign the roles for Administer Object Types and Administer Historians, the system will not perform the functions for Object Types and Historian.
DE183511 Web Admin When the user creates a new revision for the material and it's specification, the draft specification revision displays an effective date which is equal to the effective date of the previous published revision.
DE184221 Web Admin For a plant model entity, the following menu options require to be enabled in the details panel:
  • For draft plant model entity: Browse revision history and Publish.
  • For a published model entity: Browse revision history and New revision.

Workaround

  1. Close Plant Applications Client.

Run the following command: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\regasm.exe "E:\Program Files (x86)\Proficy\Plant Applications Client\Client\PlantApps.WPFDisplays.DisplayWrapper.dll" /codebase /tlb:"E:\Program Files (x86)\Proficy\Plant Applications Client\Client\PlantApps.WPFDisplays.DisplayWrapper.tlb"
  3. Start Plant Applications Client.
Note:
When the user installs Plant Applications Client other than C: drive, then this issue arises. If user installs Plant Applications on F: drive, then the user must change the 'drive' letter in the above command.
DE194754 Approval Cockpit User is not able to add attachments such as images, videos, and audios to a comment in the Approval Cockpit application.
DE176022 Web Client

The comment video recording has a known issue where the user cannot record and add a video to a comment in Plant Applications Web Client using an iPad.

DE194529 Process Order, Downtime, Activities, Waste, Work Order Manager Not able to download Grid data using Export as CSV and Export as Excel options in iPad.
00999599 Alarms There are issues with the Alarmview ActiveX control.

The current workaround is to ensure that the Interop.PRMsgs.dll is available in the below folder paths in the custom .Net application to trigger events:

  • <project>\obj\x86\Release
  • <project>\obj\x86\Debug
  • <project>\bin\x86\Release
  • <project>\bin\x86\Debug
DE194284 Non Conformance Deleted operations are displayed on the Create CTP Disposition screen in Non Conformance.
DE194288 Non Conformance Plan column does not display data when user clicks on View (Eye icon) on the History tab.
DE194030 Non Conformance

In the Non Conformance application, when you Perform Disposition for the NC, if you move the NC to Material Review Board (MRB) from the DISPOSITIONS drop-down list, and then move the NC from MRB to Scrap, the following error message is displayed: Unable to process your request. Try again.

As a workaround, in Plant Applications Administrator, you must configure MRB/NCR to Scrap as a Valid Transition Status. Following are the steps to configure MRB/NCR to Scrap as the valid transition status:

  1. In Plant Applications Administrator > Plant Model, navigate to Unit Properties Configuration for the required unit.
    Note:
    The required status is configured on the unit where the serial/lot is created.
  2. From the available Production Statuses, select Scrap.
  3. Select Copy From.
  4. Select MRB/NCR.
  5. Move the Scrap status to the Valid Transition list.

After the configuration in Plant Applications Administrator, you can dispose the NC that is in MRB/NCR to Scrap.

DE192658 Waste In the Waste application, the KPIs tab data was distorted when the user entered a lengthy product name.
DE185864 Work Order Manager When the user selects all the materials (30k) from the materials drop-down list with the screen resolution set to10 percent, the system becomes unresponsive and displays 400 Bad Request response.
DE185470 Unit Operations/Work Order Manager/BOM Editor/Route Management When a material is assigned to more than one product group, then the material is listed multiple times in the GO TO search drop-down list.
DE192143 Unit Operations, Work Queue, and Process Orders In the Unit Operations, Work Queue, and Process Orders applications, when you attempt to expand the width of MATERIAL and MATERIAL DESCRIPTION columns in the BOM grid view, the column width is not modified. As a workaround, you must reset the user settings for the BOM grid view to fix this issue. Following are the steps to reset user settings:
  1. Navigate to the operator-app-service swagger URL: https://<FQDN or Hostname>:5059/operator-app-service/swagger-ui.html.
  2. In user-settings-controller:
    1. Select GET/v2/settings/apps. In the Parameters section, enter the application name in the appName field (Example: Unit Operations) and then, select Execute.
      Note:
      Application details such as, app category, description, id, and so on are displayed.
    2. Select DELETE/v2/settings/apps. In the Parameters section, enter the id number (displayed after step a) in the appId field and enter bomGrid in the viewName field, and then select Execute.
      Note:
      The current BOM grid view settings for the user will be deleted.

    When you login the next time, the BOM grid view settings will be reset to the original grid view settings. The column width for MATERIAL and MATERIAL DESCRIPTION can be modified as required.

DE186559 Work Queue/Work Order/Unit Operations

Photo, video, and attachments are not displayed in Non-Conformance View pop-up window when user adds these attachments under Additional Information tab in the Create NC pop-up window.

DE186896 Work Order Manager The required quantity of split operation is not correct when the user changes the BOM assignment for an In-Progress work order from the Work Order Manager screen.
DE187077 Route Editor When a route does not have any assigned properties or the property value is modified, the PRE call shows the default property value.
DE176308 Work Queue/Unit Operations/Work Order Manager The system displays the message: Duplicate serial/Lot# not allowed even though unique serial/lot# name is auto populated.
DE194391 Autolog Variable cell color needs to be updated for the custom variable and string variable.
DE194359 Autolog When updating the test value in the ESIG column if the user cancels the E-sign, then the old value disappears from the cell.
