Ad Hoc Charting

Select Context

When you select the Charts module in Sentinel Web, a Select Context prompt appears. It allows you to either navigate the asset hierarchy or to search for the required view and make your selection. Based on the context selected, the charting view will be displayed, with the Tag Browser panel available for tag selection.

The Charts Header displays the name of the asset that was selected.

Resize the Chart Area

You can expand or collapse the navigation bar to accommodate charts.

  • To collapse the expanded navigation bar, select on the navigation bar. The navigation bar collapses and only the module icons appear.
  • To expand the collapsed navigation bar, select on the navigation bar.

The navigation bar expands for the module icons and names to appear. Any charts that appear adjust to fit the available space.

Alert Advisory Charting

You can navigate to asset charting directly from the Alerts module, when you select associated with any alert. Once selected, the charting view is displayed with the Tag Browser panel visible on the right-hand side for tag selection.

A new browser tab appears, and the Charts Header displays the name of the Alert which is the source of the charting request.

Case Evidence Charting

You can navigate to asset charting directly from the Cases module by selecting the Chart Link associated with evidence that has been previously linked with any case. Once selected, the charting view is displayed with the Tag Browser panel visible on the right-hand side for tag selection.

A new browser tab appears, and the Charts Header displays the name of the Case that is the source of the charting request.

Updating a Case (i.e. Save Current State as Evidence)

To save the current view of charts as evidence for this case, select in the chart module header. This will update the charts that are currently associated with the case.
