Charts Header Global Actions

The icons , , and , on the chart name in the chart header control the actions across the entire Charts module.

Create Case

To create a case, while viewing charts, select in the Chart Parameters pane.

A window appears allowing you to add the details to the case. This window displays the same fields as when editing an existing case. The meanings of these fields are described in the following section. Required fields are highlighted in yellow if a value is not provided, and the Create Case button is disabled until all required fields have values.

Provide values for all required fields, and then select Create to create the case. Once created, the Charting view changes from the alert charting view to the case charting view and the case () appears in the Tag Browser under the Cases section and will also be available in the Cases module.

Chart Settings

The Chart Settings () allows you to control how your tag date is presented in the chart view.

You can enable point mode for SmartSignal charts, allowing the x-axis to display the number of data points selected instead of a date-time range. In this view, you can select the x axis to display date, time, or points.

You can select the standard chart types to be displayed.

You can select the alert and data quality indicators to be displayed on the chart.
THRESHOLD SETTINGS

  • You can select to display the tag thresholds on the charts.
  • You can select to use the Y-Min and Y-Max values for the y-axis if it is defined in the blueprint.
  • You can select to filter the chart data by Mode.
GENERAL
  • Display Tags as Tag Alias
  • Enable Chart Subtitles
  • You can control how the tag name is displayed.
    • When you enable it, the Tag Alias Name is displayed.
    • When you disable it, the Data Source Name is displayed.
  • You can access the tag path in the chart header or as part of the chart header subtitle.
    • When the Enable Chart Subtitle setting is enabled, the following icon appears on the tag header that allows you to expand the header into two rows.
    • When the Enable Chart Subtitle setting is disabled, the tag path is displayed on the tag header.
    Note: The tag path includes the Asset Parent.

Tag Browser Access

The Tag Browser Panel access () allows you to hide and show the panel. The Tag Browser allows you to find tags, view cases, alerts, asset, and tag information. You can select the tags you need to plot from the Tag Browser.
