Overview of Proficy MDC

Proficy Manufacturing Data Cloud (Proficy MDC) ingests data from multiple Plant Application sites to Predix Cloud on a common data model based on ISA-95 standards.

Proficy MDC provides the following benefits:

• Ingests on-premise Plant Applications data to data models on Predix Cloud, and thereby facilitates reduction of on-premise data footprint.
• Ingests incremental transaction logs to keep the ingested data near real-time for analysis and reporting.
• Organizes data in a contextual format for faster retrieval of data using Proficy MDC REST APIs.
• Facilitates cross-site and enterprise-wide reporting of data from multiple sites.
