How to Use a Historian Manual Variable

Procedure

  1. When the Historian Manual data source variable is added to a sheet with Activities, create an activity and go to Perform Activity in the Web Client.
    Notice that the Historian Manual Variable is not populated with tag value with event creation, but has a button to pull Historian tag value whenever needed.
  2. You can manually pull the Historian Tag value based on the Sampling type irrespective of Event creation timestamp.
    Historian data source variables pulls tag value on Event timestamp and Historian Manual data source variable enables user to pull the tag value manually when needed.
