Creating a Major Revision (New Revision)
Procedure

In the Route Editor page, perform one of the following tasks:
- If you want to create a revision of a released route, select Released.
- If you want to create a revision of an archived route, select Archived.

Select the route whose revision you want to create.
The View Route page appears.

Select
, and then select Create New Revision.
The Revise Route window appears, displaying the route details.Note:- The name, description, production line, material, and BOM formulation are copied from the latest version of the route and cannot be modified.
- The REVISION box is disabled and populated with the next
incremental number. Example:
- If the existing Route revision number is 0.0, then the revision number will be incremented to 1.0 during a major revision. In the case of a major revision, the revision number is incremented in successive steps.
- If the existing Route revision number is 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, or 1.4, then the revision number due to major revision will be revised to 2.0.
- You can enter the reason for major revision in the REASON box. You can also change the settings for the route behaviors.

Select Next.
The Edit Route page appears. The operations, resources, BOM items, properties, and documents linked to the route are the same as that of the latest version of the route.Note:If required, you can add, modify, or remove operations, or assign a different BOM item, modify operations behaviors, add or modify property values, attach document(s) and/or URLs, upload document(s), and add tools.
- Select Save.
Results
Note:
The highest revision
count of a route will be displayed irrespective of major or minor revision.
For example: If a route had multiple revisions such as 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 10.0, 10.1, and 10.2, the highest revision count for that route will be 10.2. This remains true even if the 1.2 revision was created after the 10.2 revision.
Tip:
To access the previous versions of the route, in the
Released or Archived section, select
in the row containing the route.
