Associate Tool Category to an Operation on a Work Order

About this task

Use this procedure to associate a tool category, sub-category, or more than one tool when adding a new operation on a work order.

Procedure

  1. On the Work Order Manager page, access the work order.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select , and then select Edit the workorder.
    The Edit <Work Order> page appears, displaying a list of operations in the work order.
  3. Navigate to the Tools tab, and then select .
    The Add Tools page appears and displays tool information.
  4. On the Add Tools page do the following:
    Field Description
    TOOL NAME Displays a list of tools configured. You can select more than one tool from the list. When a tool is out for calibration, it is disabled and cannot be selected.
    REQUIRED TOOL CONSUMPTION Is enabled when you select a category or a subcategory that have tools directly associated to it. The selected tools are required for the execution of a work order.
    MINIMUM TOOLS REQUIRED Allows to enter the number of minimum tools required. The default value is 1.
    TOOL PREFERENCE Allows to specify a preferred tool to be used as a part of the configuration. You can select one or more tools.
  5. Select Add.
  6. Optional: To remove the tool, click Delete.
  7. To save tool details in the operation, click Save.
