PTTEP - Digital Transformation to Holistic Maintenance Management with Asset Performance Management Customer Story Bar Share Customer Information Introduction Industry Oil & Gas Products Asset Reliability, Asset Strategies , Mechanical Integrity The Challenge PTTEP, a national petroleum exploration and production company based in Thailand, faced challenges due to the complexity and inefficiency of their existing asset inspection and management processes. Key issues included: Lengthy data review period before performing assessments.Using multiple systems for inspection management, leading to inefficiencies and difficulties in data integration.Reliance on manual processes for creating inspection plans, updating frequencies, and managing anomalies.Getting contractors and teams familiar with new APM requirements and processes. Their operations had a clear demand for a system that could automate and centralize the inspection scheduling, anomaly detection, and optimization processes, thereby reducing the reliance on manual data entry and enhancing the overall efficiency of asset management. The Solution PTTEP implemented several applications in the Meridium(R) Asset Performance Management suite including APM Strategy, APM Reliability, and APM Integrity as part of its efforts to address the identified challenges. The solution automates inspection scheduling, updates inspection frequencies, and performs RBI assessments directly from software without a data review period. It also interfaces with other systems like SAP and pipeline integrity management systems to create a unified view of anomalies and inspection data. Through Meridium’s visualization capabilities, PPTEP was able to implement an adoption program to train and familiarize teams with APM, including the development of role-based dashboards. APM Solution for PTTEP Image credit: PTTEP Presentation 2022 The Result Automation of inspection processes: APM automates the creation and updating of inspection plans, reducing manual effort and errors.Enhanced anomaly detection and management: Integration with other systems allows for the automatic detection of anomalies and the generation of corrective action recommendations.Improved visualization and decision-making: The solution provides dashboards and KPIs for better monitoring of asset performance and informed decision-making.Increased productivity: The adoption of the APM system leads to a reported increase in productivity, with teams able to perform more inspections and optimizations. A 4% increase was seen for coordinator roles.User adoption: High adoption rate of APM, with teams becoming proficient in using the solution.
