Scott Strazik is the chief executive officer (CEO) of GE Vernova (NYSE: GEV), a purpose-built global company focused on electrifying and decarbonizing the world and leading the future of energy. With approximately 75,000 employees in over 100 countries, the company’s technology base helps generate one quarter of the world's electricity.

Since becoming a stand-alone public company in 2024, Scott has positioned GE Vernova to meet the surging global demand for electric power with the company’s equipment, services, and software. Under his leadership, GE Vernova has cultivated a culture of Lean to accelerate operational and financial performance while investing in the breakthrough technologies needed for a more sustainable and prosperous future for all.

Scott has more than 20 years of leadership, finance, and operations experience. He was named CEO of GE’s Gas Power business in 2018 and expanded his role to leading the GE Power businesses in 2021. There, he led the team that executed the turnaround of Gas Power and oversaw the launch and global scaling of the HA gas turbine platform—one of the company’s most commercially successful product introductions. Prior to joining GE’s Power businesses, he served for two years as CFO of GE Aviation’s Commercial Engine Operations organization.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Labor Relations from Cornell University, as well as a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs with a focus on Economics and Public Policy.
