Algeria

ALGERIA
GE Vernova has a strong legacy of contributions to Algeria’s energy sector, providing power generation, transmission, distribution, and software solutions, employing 300+ people, and building world-class facilities such as GE Algeria Turbines (GEAT). In July 2024, we announced an order to supply grid solutions for 134 substations by 2028 to support renewable energy integration and secure more reliable power supply in the country.

Egypt

EGYPT
50+ years of presence & 200+ people
~10 GW of power generation capacity
~300 power transformers
~700 gas insulated switchgear (GIS) bays
~2,000 circuit breakers
~$400 million in export credit agency (ECA) financing mobilized for energy projects

Iraq

IRAQ
In Iraq, GE Vernova’s team is adding power capacity, reducing the carbon intensity of power generation, modernizing the grid, improving operational reliability, and accelerating the digital transformation of power. We have added up to 19 gigawatts of power since 2011, energized 30 substations and helped unlock up to $3 billion in financing for energy sector projects since 2015, and remain committed to keep powering Iraq forward.

Kuwait

KUWAIT
GE Vernova has a legacy of supporting Kuwait’s energy infrastructure needs since the 1970s, with our technologies generating up to 7 gigawatts of power in the country. We offer expertise and solutions to equip, build, operate, and maintain power plants and grid infrastructure. The GE Kuwait Technology Center (GEKTC) is also a first-of-its-kind facility in the country with Training, Tooling, and Research & Development cells.

Nigeria

NIGERIA
With the world’s sixth largest population, Nigeria needs power. GE Vernova has a 100+ year legacy in the country, with our solutions installed in 40+ sites across Nigeria, providing an installed capacity of up to 10.7 gigawatts. At the Zungeru project, 4 of GE Vernova’s Francis hydropower turbines and generators can help generate up to 700 megawatts of power, helping to meet up to 10% of the country’s electricity needs.

Pakistan

PAKISTAN
GE Vernova has supported Pakistan’s energy sector since the 1960s and remains committed to powering the country forward as it aims to transition to 60% renewables and 30% electric vehicles by 2030. Our technologies can generate up to 25% of the country’s power through diverse sources including wind, hydro, steam, and gas, our grid solutions equip transmission & distribution infrastructure, and our software makes power smarter.

Saudi Arabia

SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabia plans to transition to 50% gas and 50% renewables by 2030, reaching net zero by 2060. With ~90 years of presence, an installed base of over 50 gigawatts, ~850 employees, and world-class manufacturing, service, and R&D facilities in the country, GE Vernova is supporting these goals every day. The work we do helps strengthen the local energy ecosystem, deepen the supply chain, boost exports, develop talent, and more.

South Africa

SOUTH AFRICA
We have a long history of presence in South Africa, with GE’s first offices outside North America set up in Johannesburg in 1898. Since then, we have not just supported the development of the country’s power sector but also its people. A key initiative today is Next Engineers, a global college-and-career-readiness initiative launched in 2021 to increase diversity in engineering that has reached 3,500+ learners across Johannesburg.

Turkey

TÜRKIYE
GE Vernova technologies produce over 25% of Türkiye’s power from various sources including solar, wind, hydro, and gas. Our electrification solutions strengthen the grid and make power smarter, and our Financial Services unit has enabled Türkiye to secure over $1.6 billion of funding for energy projects. We also contribute to manufacturing and exports through the Gebze site - our largest transformer factory by capacity globally.

United Arab Emirates (UAE)

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE)
With 50+ years of presence and ~1,000 employees, we’re advancing the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative and energy transition journey with upgrades, gas turbines with record-setting efficiency, grid solutions, software, and more. Our investments include the Jebel Ali Service Center for gas turbines & generators and Grid Solutions Middle East Service Unit, which are boosting exports and economic diversification efforts.
