Earlier this week, GE Vernova released its 2025 Sustainability Report. We encourage you to review the materials on GE Vernova’s dedicated Sustainability website.

Key highlights from 2025 Sustainability Report:

  • Brought 26 GW of new power generating capacity online and energized 68 GW of new transformers in 2025, with 37% deployed in developing and emerging economies
  • The carbon intensity of the technologies brought online by GE Vernova was ~31% below the global average carbon intensity of the existing grid, helping avoid ~22 million metric tons of CO2 emissions in 2025
  • 64% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 operational emissions since 2019
  • Reached ~10,700 students and learners through workforce development and training programs since 2024, with a goal to reach 30,000 learners by 2030
  • Continued to advance technologies for long-term decarbonization, including small modular reactors, carbon capture and storage, and direct air capture

“Energy is about people, and we’re working to electrify the planet in a way that enables individuals, communities, and economies to thrive, every day,” said Scott Strazik, GE Vernova CEO. “These results reflect a company moving with purpose on a critical mission. But we know the work ahead is even greater. The path forward will demand continued innovation, deeper collaboration, and sustained investment. It will require us to expand access, strengthen energy security, and accelerate decarbonization, all at once.”

At GE Vernova, we are making progress turning long-term decarbonization concepts into real-world solutions while helping enable access to reliable, affordable, and secure electricity. We are encouraged by the results outlined in our 2025 Sustainability Report and look forward to achieving our sustainability goals.
