GE Vernova-powered projects receive 2026 POWER Magazine Awards for advancements in energy efficiency and decarbonization

CAMBRIDGE, MA – October 5, 2026 – GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) is proud to announce that several of its customers have received top honors in the 2026 POWER Awards, an annual program organized by POWER Magazine. These prestigious industry accolades recognize top performers in the electricity-generating industry with annual awards. These awards underscore the success of our collaboration in deploying cutting-edge gas, and decarbonization technologies to accelerate the global energy transition and support security of power supply.

  • Nhon Trach 3&4: A Benchmark for Vietnam’s Energy Future. In Vietnam, the 1.6 GW Nhon Trach 3&4 Power Plant—equipped with GE Vernova’s advanced combined-cycle 9HA.02 gas turbines—was honored with the Plant of the Year Award and the Top Gas Plant Award. Owned and operated by PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power), the facility is Vietnam’s first LNG-fired power plant. Achieving over 63% combined-cycle efficiency, the plant plays a cornerstone role in Vietnam’s Adjusted Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8) by providing the reliable, flexible capacity needed to integrate more renewables into the grid.
     

  • Duke Energy DeBary: Leading the Way in Hydrogen Innovation. GE Vernova’s collaboration with Duke Energy at the DeBary facility in Florida has been recognized with the POWER Magazine Hydrogen Award. By performing combustion system retrofits on two of the facility's GE Vernova 7E.03 gas turbines, Duke Energy and GE Vernova have moved hydrogen from concept and pilot scale into real‑world grid operations, with DeBary recognized as a first‑of‑its‑kind achievement for the U.S. power sector: the nation’s first end‑to‑end system capable of producing, storing, and combusting 100% green hydrogen for commercial peaking power generation. This initiative serves as a model for how utilities can lower the carbon intensity of their existing generation assets while maintaining the reliable, dispatchable power necessary for a modern grid.
     
  • Dominion Energy Parr Station: Writing the Next Chapter in a Century of Reinvention Dominion Energy’s Parr Station modernization has been honored with the prestigious POWER Magazine Reinvention Award, celebrating the transformation of a site with over 100 years of energy history into a high-performance, flexible power asset. By deploying GE Vernova’s LM6000VELOX* package solution, the project delivers the fast-start capability, black start support, and operational flexibility necessary to manage the variability of modern renewable resources. This modernization at Parr Station In South Carolina, successfully bridges a century of service with the demands of a sustainable energy future, providing the grid with the reliable, agile power it needs to evolve.
