Trend Card
A Trend Card widget allows you to plot real-time data from OPC UA servers and historical data from Historian servers.
You can choose to use a model, or directly browse the Historian or OPC UA servers. Once you have selected your data source, you can add tags from the assets to the trend chart.
To get started:
- Drag and drop the Trend Card onto the Operations Hub page designer.
- Design-time configuration: Configure the trend card properties to define data sources and generate the trend chart. Refer to best practices.
- Run-time configuration: To further customize the trend chart at
runtime, configure the plotted chart's custom settings.
To learn more about using trend charts, refer to Working with Trend Charts.

Best Practices for Building Charts
For creating the most accurate and user-friendly charts, we recommend that you apply
the following guidelines:
- CLASSIC Use separate containers for the breadcrumb and chart when adding a trend chart in the page designer. Set the chart height to 100%.
- For mobile access:
- Use a medium to high-resolution device in landscape mode.
- To print on Android, use the screen capture feature instead of the
print option.
- Configure the chart on a desktop, as Android keyboards may interfere with asset or tag searches.
- Delta values between two data points may be hard to read on low to medium-resolution mobile devices. For better clarity, view them on a desktop or a high-resolution mobile device.
- Trend chart space may be limited when viewing statistical data. To ensure better readability, limit the chart to two properties.
- On an iPad, use the Zoom feature for panning or drilling down
instead of these chart controls:
