Gas-Insulated Substations up to 170 kV

GE's F35 GIS is a field-proven solution with high availability that meets the challenges of networks up to 170 kV for power generation, transmission, distribution, tertiary and heavy industry applications. The F35 is available in 72.5 kV, 145 kV and 170 kV ratings. GE’s F35 is also available SF6-free with g3-gas technology, see F35g

The F35 is a compact and accessible GIS solution, with a bay footprint below the market average. Up to 3 bays are assembled together, wired, tested and shipped enabling shorter site works. A whole F35-72,5 kV gas-insulated substation fits into the most advanced and powerful wind turbine towers, enabling them to handle more power while reducing energy losses.

In addition, the F35 is environmentally friendly and features an advanced SF6 sealing system. Full digital monitoring control and protection capabilities, and an optimized user interface enable the F35 to be readily integrated into the smart grid.
