Customer Satisfaction Survey Privacy Notice
Last updated: 10/14/2026
Who we are
This notice explains how GE Vernova International LLC, of 58 Charles Street, Cambridge, MA 02141 ("GE Vernova", "we", "us" or "our"), uses personal data about individuals at our customers who are invited to take part in our customer satisfaction and loyalty surveys. We are the controller of this personal data.
If you have any questions about this notice, please contact Deborah Levine at deborah.levine@gevernova.com.
What personal data we collect
We collect the following personal data:
- Identity and contact details: your name, job title, employer, business email address, business telephone number and business location (country, region or site).
- Account information: the customer account, business unit and product or service line with which you are associated, and your relationship with GE Vernova.
- Survey responses: your ratings (for example, satisfaction and likelihood-to-recommend scores) and any free-text comments you choose to provide.
- Survey metadata: information generated by our survey platform, such as the date and time you responded, whether you completed the survey, your language preference, and technical information such as response identifiers [and IP address / approximate location, if captured].
We obtain your contact and account information from our customer relationship records, and the remaining information directly from you when you complete the survey. We may combine your responses with other information we hold about your organisation's account (for example, account, contract or service data) so that we can understand and act on your feedback.
Please do not include sensitive personal data (such as information about health, political opinions or religious beliefs) or personal data about other individuals in your free-text comments. Taking part in the survey is entirely voluntary.
How we use your personal data and why
We use your personal data to:
- measure customer satisfaction and loyalty across GE Vernova, at an individual account level and at a segment, business-unit and corporate level;
- identify issues and take corrective action, including following up with you or your organisation about your feedback where appropriate;
- improve our products, services, operations and customer experience; and
- inform business planning and strategy across GE Vernova, including tracking satisfaction and loyalty as a key business performance indicator.
Legal basis: we process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and UK GDPR) in understanding our customers' views, maintaining good customer relationships and improving our business. We have considered your interests and rights and believe that this processing is proportionate and within your reasonable expectations as a business contact. You can object at any time (see section 9).
Not used to assess individuals' performance: survey responses are used to understand customer satisfaction with GE Vernova. They are not used to evaluate, monitor or make decisions about you as an individual, or about the performance of your organisation's employees.
Use of artificial intelligence
Our customer experience team reviews survey feedback manually. We also use AI-enabled analysis tools, a SaaS tool, Qualtrics, an internally hosted agent created in AMP using an enterprise version of Claude to help identify themes, sentiment and trends in survey responses. The tools support, but do not replace, human review. All conclusions and any actions taken are determined by our staff. [Please note that your responses are not used to train publicly available AI models.]
No automated decision-making
We do not make any decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.
Who we share your personal data with
- Within GE Vernova: results are shared with leadership across the business and with personnel responsible for your organisation's account. Aggregated results may be made available to employees of the relevant GE Vernova business through internal reporting dashboards. Access to full, identifiable survey data is restricted to our customer experience team and others who need it for the purposes described above.
- Service providers: we use third-party providers to help us run the survey and analyse results, including Qualtrics (survey platform). They act on our instructions and are bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Other recipients: where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a corporate reorganisation, merger or sale of all or part of our business.
We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
GE Vernova operates globally and your personal data may be transferred to, and accessed from, countries outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where we do so, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us.
How long we keep your personal data
We keep identifiable survey responses for 7 years from the date of the survey so that we can follow up on feedback and track changes in satisfaction over time. After that period, we delete your personal data or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you, and we may continue to use anonymised, aggregated results for trend analysis. Contact details are retained in line with our customer relationship records.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to: access your personal data; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict our processing; object to our processing based on legitimate interests; and receive your data in a portable format. You can also opt out of future surveys and communications at any time by contacting Deborah Levine.
To exercise your rights, contact deborah.levine@gevernova.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work or where an alleged infringement occurred. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including access controls, encryption and restricting identifiable data to those who need it.
