GE Vernova’s Grid Solution launches EnergyAPM, a data analytics software, specially designed for Power Transmission and Distribution assets providing an Asset Performance Management portfolio of applications and services.

EnergyAPM combines asset data with industry expertise, analytics and connectivity, helping operators to develop an intelligent performance strategy for managing electrical substations.

On May 12, 2023, GE Vernova’s bushing factory known as Passoni & Villa celebrated 100 years of innovation! For more than a century, the factory has been recognized for its excellence, quality, and its team’s expertise in high voltage equipment. The bushings manufactured onsite support AC and DC transformers, substations, and generator applications worldwide, having equipped DC projects such as the Italy-Montenegro Link, the DolWin 3 project in North Europe, and the Lower Churchill Project in Canada.

Major milestone achieved! The first electrical offshore substation (OSS) in France successfully sailed away from St Nazaire in France and was installed on its jacket 12 km from the coast, on August 18th. The sheer size of this electrical substation is impressive - with its total weight approximately equivalent to the London Eye, (also known as the London Millennium Wheel), or about 280 adult African elephants - imagine that!

GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions’ Grid Automation division together with Advance Information Technologies (AIT) Corporation - an EPC contractor and system integrator for Grid Automation solutions in Vietnam - has successfully energized the Ia Le 1 substation in Gia Lai province in Vietnam, sticking to a tight 12-month schedule, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
